Right now I’m watching The Oscars so if things get a little loopy, it’s probably because I am stunned by how gorgeous Jennifer Lawrence looks. Also can anyone else look at Jared Leto without thinking of how much they loved Jordan Catalano? Anyways, back to business. These past couple weeks have been about getting back down to the beauty basics. I’ve had a moment of realization when I realized where I realized that there are quite the number of products that I love that aren’t quite as glamorous. Not everything can be all red lips and shimmer. Some things are just, normal. And there are a few lip loves thrown in because some things never change.
I was recently partaking in a bit of a lipstick purge. Storage space for my lovely lipstick friends has become tight and so it was out with the unloved, and in with the new. As i was tossing, I realized that I had recently purchased quite a few Maybelline lip products. Not all at once, but somehow their new collections have been worming their way into my good graces. Here are the goods that are...well, good.
Whenever I film a youtube video, I’m down to play around with colour on my eyelids. It’s fun and if it looks like crap? I can just delete it! When it comes to actually leaving my house with bright colours on my eyeslids in the daytime? Almost never happens. My eyes are neutral territory, sporting various shades of bronze on a regular basis. But every once in a while, I feel like getting fancy on the lids. One way that I’ve always found works is using just a small pop of colour on my lower lash line. Not too much crazy on the face, but still making a small statement. Here’s how I get it done.
Hey ho, here we go. Another neutral palette to love. Seriously, it’s like a sickness. Someone needs to stop me. I DON’T NEED MORE EYESHADOWS! I feel slightly more validated because this was a birthday present but nevertheless, I didn’t need it. But I wanted it, so here we are.
